The Cybersecurity Research Institute of the National University of Public Service, a member of the Hungarian Cybersecurity Cluster, held a conference on November 27, 2024 entitled “Cybercrime: Innovative Criminals?” The main topics of the speakers at the event were: “Cyberwarfare vs. Crime”, the explosion of online fraud during COVID, the dual role of AI (terror and defense), the Darknet drug trade, the CyberShield campaign, “Self-justification of Offenders” in the darknet trade, and methods of cross-border investigation. The conference highlighted the diversity of cyber threats and the importance of multidisciplinary cooperation.
