H1 Systems Kft., a 100 percent Hungarian-owned company, is a member of the Hungarian Cybersecurity Cluster. The company has three decades of experience in building technology and data center solutions and has become an internationally recognized player in the design and operation of critical IT infrastructure.
The history of H1 Systems began in the early 1990s as a window film company, which has now grown into a multi-branch, multi-billion-euro group of companies. The company's portfolio has gradually expanded to include security technology, building automation and data center development services, with clients including Richter, Bosch, Telekom, Budapest Airport, as well as OTP Bank and Raiffeisen Bank. The company has strong internal competencies from design to operation, and serves its clients in both the domestic and international markets with a holistic, multi-discipline approach.
World-class reference projects
H1 Systems’ most prominent project is the Boden Type DC in Boden, Sweden, which the company established as the leader of an international consortium funded by the EU’s Horizon 2020 with over €3 million in funding – with partners including Germany’s Fraunhofer IOSB, Sweden’s RISE research institute and the UK’s EcoCooling. The result is the world’s most energy-efficient data center. A similarly large-scale undertaking was the server room at CERN’s Wigner Center for Physics, which is directly connected to the Large Hadron Collider, and which H1 Systems built under an extremely tight deadline of just seven months. The latest major project is the 12,000 square meter, TIER III-certified VNG data center in Vietnam, for which H1 Systems also performed the design, technical inspection and TIER certification tasks.
Cluster role
As a member of the Hungarian Cybersecurity Cluster, H1 Systems represents a rare and deep expertise related to the physical and operational security of critical IT infrastructure among the cluster members - knowledge accumulated through the design and construction of data centers with the highest security and availability requirements.
