At the Tech Trend Show 2026. held in Szeged, the Software Industry Pole Cluster (Pál Gyenizse) and the Hungarian Cybersecurity Cluster (Márton Miklós) signed a cooperation agreement, which is an important step in supporting the digital development of domestic SMEs.
The aim of the cooperation is to provide businesses with not only theoretical knowledge about digitalization, but also practical assistance, especially in the fields of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence. This is a particularly important opportunity for the Hungarian Cybersecurity Cluster, as it allows it to share its members' professional knowledge and experience with smaller companies on an even wider scale.
Cybersecurity is no longer a separate area, but a fundamental part of digitalization. This is also reinforced by the NIS2 directive presented in Miklós Márton's presentation at the event, which makes conscious preparation and the application of appropriate security solutions essential for more and more businesses. The cooperation of the cluster can provide tangible support in this: through professional knowledge sharing, joint action and assistance tailored to the needs of businesses.
The diverse membership of the Hungarian Cybersecurity Cluster – companies, academics and NGOs – provides a strong foundation for developing not only technological, but also strategic and organizational responses to cybersecurity challenges. Cooperation can thus not only help meet compliance obligations, but also contribute to the long-term competitiveness of domestic enterprises.
The agreement clearly shows that digitalization and cybersecurity can only be truly effective together, and that partnerships between clusters play a key role in this.
