The European Cybersecurity Month<\/strong> within the framework of John Neumann Computer Science Society<\/strong> and the Hungarian Cybersecurity Cluster<\/strong> On October 15, 2025, Between 10:00 and 12:00<\/strong> is holding a professional conference in Szeged, Albert Szent-Gy\u00f6rgyi in the Agora<\/strong>, at the location of the Informatics History Exhibition.<\/p>\n

The program At 10:00<\/strong> starts G\u00e1bor Kepes (NJSZT)<\/strong> with a welcome speech, who will introduce the audience to the topics of the event and present the role of the Neumann Society in the IT professional community. He will also talk about how IT security is connected to the ICDL system and how it contributes to the development of digital competencies.<\/p>\n

From 10:30<\/strong> Andr\u00e1s Veress (Hungarian Cybersecurity Cluster)<\/strong> gives a lecture \u201cDon't be intimidated by corporate cybersecurity expectations \u2013 or corporate cybersecurity for beginners\u201d<\/i> In his presentation, he will present the most common cyber threats, the means of defense at the technological, organizational and human levels, and discuss the impact of regulations (e.g. GDPR, NIS2) and artificial intelligence on corporate cyber defense.<\/p>\n

At 11:00<\/strong> Andr\u00e1s Krn\u00e1cs (Safer Internet)<\/strong> \u201cChildren on the Internet \u2013 Safety Challenges\u201d<\/i> will address the safety of young internet users. He will discuss the dangers of the online space, technical and human limitations, and how parents and teachers can help develop conscious digital behavior.<\/p>\n

From 11:30<\/strong> J\u00e1nos M\u00e1rton (Falcon GT Consulting Ltd.)<\/strong> \u201cOne click, big damage \u2013 awareness is the best defense\u201d<\/i> In his presentation titled "The Power of Cybersecurity", he draws attention to the serious consequences that a single wrong decision can have. The presentation uses practical examples to illustrate how suspicious links and messages can be recognized, and why user awareness is essential for digital protection.<\/p>\n
